1.            Rokpa Trust`s CHILD SAFEGUARDING POLICY was formulated after lengthy discussions with SAFECIC which is a specialist agency which advises the Charity Commission and other government departments on child safeguarding issues.  The policy was adopted by the trustees on 18 December 2016 having been approved by SAFECIC.  A copy of the policy is annexed hereto (Annexe 1). As we leave 2022 behind and move into 2023, we offer our good wishes for the year ahead and bring you news of some of the Dharma events and teachings at Samye Ling in 2023.                The Third UK Kagyu Monlam from 27 May – 2 JuneWe can confirm that the Third UK Kagyu Monlam will take place in Samye Ling from 27th May until 2nd June 2023 and we are especially fortunate that Drupon Khen Rinpoche will give daily teachings.  Bookings will open in February and we’ll share more details soon.Kyabje Akong Tulku Rinpoche’s 10th anniversary on 8th October 2023                                             We will mark the Tenth Anniversary since our beloved Founder Choje Akong Tulku Rinpoche passed away with a week-long Meditation Retreat led by Drupon Khen Rinpoche.  More details and the opportunity to book for the retreat will be coming soon.And more…Over the coming months we hope to have news about other visiting Dharma teachers in 2023.  We’ll be in touch about these as soon as arrangements are confirmed.For other forthcoming weekend courses in Samye Ling please see our Course Programme.  Meanwhile, everyone at Samye Ling sends you very best wishes for a wonderful year in 2023.
