Khenpo Karma Dradul

Khenpo Karma Dradul became a monk in 1992 and spent the next seven years studying Buddhist rituals and meditation.  Following this, he received full Bikkhu ordination from V Ven Thrangu Rinpoche in 2005.

He spent five years studying at Vajra Vidya Institute, Sarnath in India and after graduating in 2005, was appointed as tutor to young monks in the Institute.

Khenpo Dradul then spent two years as the Retreat Master at the Namo Buddha Retreat Centre before being appointed as the main teacher of Higher Buddhist Studies at Thrangu Tara Abbey.  He has continued teaching Buddhist philosophy and grammar to the nuns there until the present day.

In 2014 he was given the title of Khenpo by V V Thrangu Rinpoche.
